Reflections about the wild camp

I really wanted to quit the camp at the treasured beginning as  I had to go to camp the day just after the exam to be honest. Who would like to go to camp without a bit of rest?
After 3 days wild camp, it turned out to one of the memorable moments in the university life.
and what I gained from the wild camp.

Contribute more if you can.
At the beginning, I and Leo were carrying one of the heaviest bag into the camp site. We suffered a lot when we carry it to the site. Not many people were willing to help us expect Ricardo and Ash. The rest of the team just kept going and going. it was quite disappointing. I, however, believed someone has to do more or contribute more to the team if you have ability. And people should stand positive, Right ? Lifting the heavy bag was just a resistance exercise , so I could save some money not going to the gym. haha
Then, the second day was the hiking. Both Leo and I have experience in hiking while the others don't. So most of the way were led by us including one new hiking path which was made by me to get us out of the hill. in the world, we often encounter different obstacles or hardships ,  SU AGM for example. People with experience should guide and help the others but not dictate to make the whole process smooth and clear.

Be Respectful. Don't blame others and stereotype others.
It is obvious every people have different abilities, strength and weakness. As human being often take themselves as the reference point or the indicator, they forget others' ability and blame others when they are able to accomplish the task while others don't. During the hiking, I made a huge mistake and now be respectful stick into my mind. I was taking the lead after Leo failed to find the way. But i failed too, so i decided to make a way. I twisted my ankle where I had a severe injury during a badminton competition.  It became swollen but I kept pushing myself forward. Neglect the pain, Keep moving. Even in this condition, I moved in a relatively higher speed then my teammates. I was blaming my team. How could that possible that I went quicker than you guys even I hurt my legs. But I understand this when another teammate left all of us and searched for other check point. That moment, I completely  change my mindset. 'Why arent you wait for us? 'And this stimulated my memories, I did the same earlier this afternoon and I left my teammates for some time. I forgot the rest of the team didn't exercise a lot. So their cardio-respiration system were not as good as mine. I should respect them , understand them but not blaming them. It is crucial to be respectful can and must be used in everyday life as we meet different people with their own ability all day long.
Don't stereotype others !!! During the preparation for the wild camp, a lady said be good to us because boys cannot cook! Really? Boys dont know how to cook?! Many chefs are boy like Gordon Ramsay. Even I am good at cooking and currently writing my own recipes in my blog. So who told you boys cannot cook, dont stereotype other. As i said be respectful.

Life is connecting dots.  Life will make its way.
During the solo walk, I kept thinking if I have the better result in my DSE, would my life change? whenever I looked back in my past, I really did my best but I accidentally fail in my DSE. I kept blaming blaming and blaming. I have yet to let go of it. It hindered me from going forward. I wanted to quit and go to other university in order to fulfill the dream. But as Steve Job said, Life is connecting dots. We can only connect them by looking backwards. We never know where will it guide us but life will make its way. There will always be a way. We may not see its ending like the solo walk in the night, but we could see a tiny bit of road. So we could go on just like life. I believe it will guide me to a good future as long as I keep going keep fight.
